THE SILVER LAKE CHORUS performs choral arrangements of indie music and exudes both the edgy, independent spirit of Silver Lake and the heart of community choral singing.

TSLC’s latest effort is a collaboration with LA-based artists Van Dyke Parks and Lucius and producer Luke Top (Fools Gold, Cass Mccombs). Lucius’s emotive “Not Not” and Van Dyke Parks’ playful “Tabu” signal a return to the group’s choral roots after their celebrated 2016 remix album, which earned producer starRo a 2017 Grammy nomination for best remixed recording for “Heavy Star Movin’.”

TSLC’s critically acclaimed debut album, “The Silver Lake Chorus,” was produced by Ben Lee and features rare and new tracks written exclusively for the Chorus by indie artist royalty including Sia, Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), Tegan and Sara,  Aimee Mann, The Bird and the Bee, Ben Lee, The New Pornographers, John Roderick (The Long Winters), and The Flaming Lips.

You can find all The Silver Lake Chorus’s music on AmazoniTunesBandcamp, and other places music is sold.

The Silver Lake Chorus regularly performs live in and around Los Angeles and enjoys collaborating with other artists, including Moby, Daniel Johnston, Damien Rice, Lonely Island, Big Data, and Until the Ribbon Breaks. As The Wall Street Journal puts it, “The Silver Lake Chorus might well establish itself as an LA institution that can perform local gigs and support acts who come to town and want to uplift their sound.” Uplift might as well be a buzzword for The Silver Lake Chorus, whose recordings and live shows transmit a singular message: the joy of human voices singing together.
